Professor Jeong Han-gil of the Department of Neurosurgery at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital (SNUBH) has been appointed as an associate editor of Translational Stroke Research, an SCI(E) international journal in the field of stroke.
Translational Stroke Research focuses on the development of treatment, prevention, and therapeutic strategies for central nervous system recovery after stroke and brain injury.
The associate editor is responsible for reviewing and editing submissions. According to the hospital, Professor Jeong, an expert in neurocritical care medicine and stroke research, will contribute to the discovery of the latest research on the mechanisms of neuronal injury and the regulation of immune response and inflammation in stroke patients.
“I will identify innovative research and promote academic exchanges in stroke and neurocritical care,” Professor Jeong said.
Jeong added that he would also strengthen the link between basic science and clinical research, help advance neuroscience, and improve treatment outcomes.
