The limited-edition release blends traditional royal aesthetics with fresh summer skincare. Danha, recognized globally after featuring in stage outfits worn by K-pop girl groups, created an exclusive lotus-inspired design for the collaboration.

The motif draws on early summer’s palace lotus imagery to express the product’s core message, delivering refreshing energy to the skin, even under harsh environmental conditions, much like a lotus blooming in muddy waters.

This year’s special edition marks the only annual release of the upgraded Bichup essence and comes in an enlarged 130 ml bottle, up from the standard 90 ml. The package also includes miniatures of the brand’s Gong Jin Hyang Seol Radiant White, which consists of a 20 ml toner and emulsion, a 40 ml cleansing foam, and a 25 ml brightening tone-up sunscreen.

The Bichup First Care Essence X Danha edition is available at department stores nationwide and through the brand’s official online store. The whole package is offered at a price of 102,900 won ($75.91) on THE WHOO’s official website.

To enhance the offering, THE WHOO will also gift a limited-edition Danha cosmetic pouch to customers purchasing the 130 ml package.

Buyers who purchase the 50 ml Bichup essence trial set, which includes three Gongjinhyang firming line products, will receive a traditional Korean folding fan designed by Danha.

The Bichup First Care Essence is known for its role as the first step in a skincare routine, designed to calm the skin and reinforce the skin barrier. It prepares the skin to absorb nutrients from subsequent skincare steps while instantly smoothing texture and delivering a dewy glow.

Key to its formula is NAD Power24, which significantly enhances the skin’s absorption of NAD+, a coenzyme associated with anti-aging and barrier improvement. It also features Haewool Silk capsules that penetrate the skin with a cool sensation, soothing puffiness and absorbing quickly without stickiness.

According to human clinical testing, just one application of the essence showed noticeable reduction in skin puffiness compared to untreated skin. After one week, users reported over double the calming effect on sensitive skin, and after one month, marked improvement in skin barrier function.

“Bichup First Care Essence supports refreshing skincare in summer with its proven ‘1·1·1’ benefits -- visible results after one use, one week, and one month,” a brand representative said. “Through this collaboration with Danha, which bridges tradition and modernity, we aimed to offer a truly distinctive and culturally enriched experience for our customers.”
