The award, co-established by LG Chem and The Korean Doctors' Weekly, the sister publication of Korea Biomedical Review, recognizes outstanding research achievements by clinical fellows. Winners are selected based on publications as first or corresponding author in SCI-grade journals during their fellowship period.

Yang was recognized for his prolific contributions to liver disease research during his time as a clinical fellow, having published 15 papers in SCI(E) journals as either first or corresponding author.

His work spans both basic and clinical studies in hepatology and includes publications in leading global journals such as Nature Biomedical Engineering (Impact Factor 26.6), Nature Communications (IF 15.7), and Clinical and Molecular Hepatology (IF 16.9).

“It is a great honor to have my years of dedication and intellectual exploration as a researcher recognized through such a meaningful award,” Yang said. “I will continue to pursue research that combines academic depth with real-world clinical relevance.”
