Marken Korea, a global healthcare precision logistics company, has opened a new bonded cold chain logistics center dedicated to biopharmaceuticals at Incheon International Airport, strengthening Korea’s role as a regional hub for pharmaceutical logistics.
The newly launched facility spans 1,411 square meters and was designed in compliance with Global Distribution Practice (GDP) standards.
It is equipped with specialized storage zones, including controlled room temperature (15 to 25℃), refrigerated (2 to 8℃), frozen (-15 to -25℃), and even ultra-low temperature freezers capable of maintaining below -60℃.
The center also features advanced infrastructure such as emergency power systems and a centralized monitoring system (CMS) to ensure safety and reliability at global standards.
With this addition, domestic and international clients can expect lower storage costs and minimized logistical risks through direct handling of import and export cargo.
The facility will also provide a range of value-added cold chain services, including dry ice replenishment, repackaging within temperature-controlled areas, cold chain container battery charging and storage, and transshipment support between air and sea freight, offering integrated end-to-end logistics solutions for biopharmaceutical products.
Located within the Free Trade Zone adjacent to Incheon Airport, the center allows immediate connectivity with international air transport, maximizing efficiency in customs clearance and storage of import and export medicines.
“This investment strengthens Marken’s logistics infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region and represents a strategic decision to support Korean companies in their global expansion,” said Mary Ahn, the country manager of Marken Korea. “By leveraging Marken’s global network and expertise, we aim to provide safe and differentiated logistics services and further establish Korea as a central hub for pharmaceutical cold chain logistics in Asia.”
Marken specializes in handling clinical trial drugs, biological samples, and advanced therapies such as cell and gene therapies that require precise cold chain transport. With a global network spanning more than 220 countries, the company has built a robust supply chain platform.
In Korea, Marken has been operating through logistics centers in Incheon and Gimpo, and the opening of the Incheon Airport bonded center is expected to deliver even stronger solutions for local clients.
