Kolon Biotech announced on Wednesday that it has received the "Leisure-Friendly Management Certification" at the 2025 Leisure-Friendly Management Certification Ceremony for Companies and Institutions, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Regional Culture Development Agency.
The Leisure-Friendly Management Certification program recognizes and honors companies and institutions that have implemented outstanding systems to promote work-life balance and improve employees' quality of life. It has solidified its status as a key indicator of corporate culture innovation and sustainable management.
Kolon Biotech is committed to advancing work-life balance and cultivating a work environment where employees can thrive at work and enjoy ample leisure time. In particular, it has consistently fostered a culture of harmony between work and leisure by introducing effective systems such as flexible work options, enhanced vacation policies, and improved on-site amenities, according to company officials.
Additionally, the company empowers employees to balance self-development and relaxation outside of work through a variety of programs. These include company-wide sports events, team-building initiatives, family-day events, educational support, club activities, and off-site recreational facilities. These efforts have been praised for boosting employee autonomy and creativity and, in turn, enhancing organizational productivity and sustainable growth.
“This Leisure-Friendly Management Certification reflects Kolon Biotech’s commitment to respecting employees' lives and practicing people-centered management,” said CEO Kim Sun-jin. “We will continue developing systems and culture for a healthy, happy workplace.”
Kolon Biotech was also recently named a “2025 Chungju City Great Place to Work” and a “2025 Best HRD Company” in recognition of its achievements in job retention, accident prevention, enhanced worker welfare, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Kolon Biotech plans to continue making work-life balance a cornerstone of its corporate culture, leading efforts to improve employee quality of life and strengthen organizational culture.
