Huons N, a life care solutions company under Huons Group, said it has acquired Biorosette, a health functional food manufacturer, by purchasing 250,000 shares and making the company a wholly owned subsidiary.
Huons N said the acquisition will allow it to integrate Biorosette’s production capabilities into its existing value chain -- spanning raw material research and development, manufacturing, and export -- enabling the company to respond more flexibly to rising overseas demand and accelerate growth.
According to Huons N, Biorosette operates GMP- and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)-certified facilities capable of producing six formulation types and nine packaging formats. These capabilities support customized production and have enabled the company to maintain long-term partnerships with major firms such as CJ Wellcare, Daesang Wellife, and Kyung Nam Pharm.
Biorosette is also developing individually recognized functional food ingredients using hawthorn berry extract and bamboo extract derived from bamboo sheath. Once approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety as individually recognized ingredients, manufacturers receive exclusive production and sales rights for six years.
Huons N was launched in May 2025 through the integration of Huons’ health functional food business and its subsidiary Huons Foodience. Since then, the company has expanded its portfolio by acquiring the women’s health brand Mysitol and introducing new products made with naturally derived, individually recognized functional food ingredients.
Huons N’s key brands include Menolacto, a probiotic for menopausal health, and Sagunja, designed for men’s prostate health. The company added that its exports now reach 14 countries as it seeks to strengthen its role in the global K-health functional foods market.
