Neurophet has locked in an exclusive distribution deal in the United Arab Emirates that gives its brain imaging AI a dedicated sales foothold in the Middle East.
The Kosdaq-listed company said Tuesday it signed an exclusive agreement with Dubai-based Modawina Medical Equipment Trading to distribute its AI-powered PET analysis software, Neurophet SCALE PET, which analyzes brain PET scans to help detect and monitor neurodegenerative disease period.
Under the contract, Modawina will market and supply Neurophet SCALE PET in four key markets in the region: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar. The deal includes minimum annual purchase commitments, and Neurophet expects shipment volumes to increase in stages through 2028.
Modawina Medical distributes hospital and emergency care equipment as well as radiology and nuclear medicine devices, and works with several global medical device manufacturers.
The push comes as the Middle East draws more attention from medtech and AI imaging vendors. Market research firm MarkNtel Advisors estimates the UAE medical device market at 1.92 billion dollars in 2023 and projects average annual growth of 8.9 percent through 2030.
