Google Cloud Next Conference, which is currently being held from Tuesday to Thursday (local time) in Las Vegas, U.S., is an annual tech conference hosted by Google Cloud.

During the conference, Kakao Healthcare participated in a segment known as Customer Reference Live (CRL), where about 100 global partner companies were selectively invited to participate. This year's event showcased sessions on generative AI and the latest technologies across different industries.

Kakao Healthcare CEO Hwang Hee represented Kakao Healthcare during the healthcare and biotech-focused CRL titled "Embrace Gen AI for Healthcare & Life Science."

During the session, Hwang discussed Kakao Healthcare's business model and how the company harnesses AI.

He highlighted PASTA, its AI-based mobile blood glucose management service, and HRS (Healthcare Data Research Suite), a data platform business, and shared how they aim to meet users' fundamental needs.

He also introduced examples of standardization and accuracy improvement of unstructured clinical data based on generative AI through collaboration with various local hospitals and Google Cloud, and research achievements based on federated learning.

"I would especially like to thank Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center, Korea University Anam Hospital, Severance Hospital, and Ewha Womans University Medical Center for their participation in this multi-institutional AI research based on collaborative learning, as they share our vision of making healthcare data valuable," Hwang said. "Through our participation in this conference, we expect to share Kakao Healthcare's business and achievements and discuss collaborations with various companies in the technology, medical, and pharmaceutical fields."

Ultimately, Kakao Healthcare will strive to contribute to the creation of social added value by improving the quality of life of patients in Korea and abroad, enhancing access to healthcare, reducing social costs, and improving medical technology innovation and quality, he added.
