Siloam Hospitals is Indonesia's largest private healthcare network, operating 41 hospitals and numerous clinics across 23 provinces. Siloam Hospitals is the first institution in Indonesia to achieve international accreditations, including the U.S. Joint Commission International (JCI) and Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS), and specializes in services like kidney transplants and cancer care.

The MOU was officially signed on Nov. 28 at the Siloam Hospitals’ headquarters in Jakarta and finalized through mutual adjustments last Friday.

This partnership marks the first case in Korea to provide a digital innovation and transformation training program tailored for international medical institutions, Yongin Severance Hospital said.

The hospital stressed that while traditional global collaborations have typically focused on building hospitals, developing electronic medical records (EMR) systems, and fostering medical personnel and patient exchanges, this agreement emphasizes digital innovation based on Korea’s smart hospital model.

Under the agreement, Yongin Severance Hospital will share its expertise in building and managing Korea-style digital innovation hospitals, provide phased models for digital transformation, and develop clinical and research collaboration programs. It will also focus on conducting educational and training exchanges for medical professionals to strengthen mutual growth.

“This partnership will advance the Korean smart hospital model while sharing medical expertise to enhance healthcare standards,” Yongin Severance Hospital Director Kim Eun-kyung said.

A representative from Siloam Hospitals also said, “The transfer of digital transformation expertise from Yongin Severance Hospital will greatly contribute to the development of Indonesia's healthcare sector.”
