Born in 1976, Kang graduated from Korea University with a food and resource economics degree. He began his pharmaceutical career in 2001 at Sanofi, Korea, where he was head of marketing for the Primary Care Global Business Unit.

Kang joined Hugel in 2019, leading its Korean and global marketing operations while serving as CEO of Hugel’s subsidiary, JWorld.

Since August last year, Kang has served as head of sales and marketing at Humedix, where he led strategic restructuring of the sales organization to strengthen business competitiveness.

As the company’s new CEO, Kang plans to accelerate efforts to expand Humedix’s presence in the global aesthetic market and tackle other key challenges.

Under its separate financial statements, Humedix recorded its best-ever earnings in 2024, posting 161.9 billion won ($110.1 million) in revenue, and 43.1 billion won in operating profit, up 6.3 percent and 15.6 percent year-on-year.

In addition to China and Brazil, the company recently secured product registrations for its premium hyaluronic acid fillers in Russia, Thailand, and Vietnam, accelerating its overseas expansion strategy.

Its derma-cosmetic brand, Elravie, has also seen success through home shopping channels.

“Humedix is committed to offering high-quality medical solutions trusted by healthcare professionals and consumers alike,” Kang said. “We will continue expanding our presence in the domestic and global markets.”

Kang added that the company aims to further strengthen its competitiveness in the aesthetics sector by delivering compelling brand stories, personalized marketing services, and collaboration with various stakeholders.
