Moon will oversee the company’s sales and marketing operations alongside current CEO Lee Han-kuk.

Moon brings more than 35 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having held senior roles at major global companies including Janssen Korea, BMS Korea, Bayer Korea, and Takeda Korea. He holds a degree in pharmacy from Chung-Ang University and an MBA from Sogang University.

During his tenure at Takeda Korea, which started in 2019, Moon led the successful launch and market expansion of several key innovative drugs, including Zejula, Livtencity, and Obizur, while also strengthening the company’s brand leadership and establishing a robust professional sales infrastructure.

Moon also previously chaired the Korea Japanese Pharmaceutical Association (KJPA), promoting collaboration among pharmaceutical companies and contributing to the growth of Korea’s pharmaceutical and bio-industry.

Kuhnil stressed Moon’s appointment marks a pivotal step in accelerating its mid- to long-term business strategy. The company aims to not only boost its sales force but also diversify its market presence and expand global partnerships.

“Kuhnil Pharm has built a unique competitive edge as an R&D-driven specialty pharma company in Korea,” said Moon. “Going forward, we will strengthen our market position by enhancing our sales and marketing capabilities based on customer trust.”
