The partnership aims to provide physicians in Korea and neighboring Asian countries with training and education opportunities on the diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases.

Through the initiative, the two institutions plan to establish a regional hub for education and training, positioning themselves as a Center of Excellence in liver health for the region.

Professor Kim Seung-up of the Department of Gastroenterology at Severance Hospital will represent YUHS in the collaboration. Drawing on his extensive clinical and research experience in liver health, Kim will lead academic lectures, workshops, and clinical training sessions.

The program will also facilitate knowledge sharing with specialists from endocrinology, cardiology, and other relevant disciplines to advance comprehensive liver disease management in Asia.

Echosens will support the collaboration by promoting the program, providing educational materials, and sharing updated clinical protocols and case libraries.

“This collaboration will be an opportunity to strengthen the capabilities of physicians across the Asia-Pacific region and elevate the standard of care for patients with chronic liver disease,” Professor Kim said.
