Korean medical AI company AITRICS has signed a co-development deal with Mayo Clinic Platform to develop and validate next-generation medical AI models using U.S. clinical data, setting up a path that includes licensing and distribution cooperation for a U.S. push.

The agreement gives AITRICS access to Mayo Clinic Platform’s data resources and evaluation infrastructure. The company said the goal is to train models that generalize across care settings and to run external performance and safety checks before commercialization.

AITRICS plans to tailor new models for the U.S. market and to start a U.S. clinical trial of AITRICS-VC (VitalCare), its in-hospital patient deterioration prediction software.

“This is our first concrete step toward broader activity in the United States and a base for expanding collaboration,” said Park Xi-a, AITRICS’ project manager of strategic planning and business development, adding that the company aims to execute a U.S.-fit strategy through the partnership.
