Samsung Biologics said it will participate in the 2023 BIO International Convention next month. 

The BIO International Convention is an event organized by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) and held annually in major cities with bioclusters in the U.S. The convention serves as an exchange venue for the global biopharmaceutical industry to gather and discuss partnerships.

This year, the convention will take place in Boston from June 5-8 under the theme "Stand up for Science" and is expected to attract more than 1,500 companies and 15,000 attendees.

Samsung Biologics, which has been participating in the convention since 2012, plans to set up a large-scale booth.

Samsung Biologics said that this year's booth theme will be "Your Sustainable Partner."

Notably, the company said that all materials for the booth were made of eco-friendly materials such as wood, stone, cloth, and recycled materials, minimizing the use of plastic.

Visitors were also provided with digital brochures via QR codes, eco-friendly souvenirs, and jute bags instead of traditional printed brochures, as the company plans to highlight its vision and practices of a sustainable CDMO.

The booth will feature LED panels and wall graphics to showcase the company's world's largest production capacity of 604,000 liters, the differentiating competitive advantages of its contract development organization (CDO) platform, and its expanded portfolio of antibodies, drug conjugates (ADCs), and messenger ribonucleic acids (mRNAs). 

The booth will also have three meeting rooms for customer meetings and a lounge area for on-site customer interaction set aside on one side of the booth to facilitate active partnership discussions.

The company plans to use such areas to hold meetings with customers and potential customers to showcase the company's competitiveness and promote collaboration in various fields.

On the third day of the event, the company will participate in the Main Reception hosted by Bio International, along with Genentech and Avantor, and actively interact with key figures in the biopharmaceutical industry.
