This follows the collaboration with Seha Virtual Hospital, announced earlier this month, to supply its chest and mammography AI solutions, LUNIT INSIGHT CXR and MMG, also in Saudi Arabia.

Accordingly, Lunit INSIGHT MMG will be supplied to "Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group," consisting of 20 medical sites spread across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain, for the next three years. HMG will integrate Lunit INSIGHT MMG into the diagnosis systems of medical institutions across the Middle East, analyzing hundreds of thousands of mammography images annually.

Additionally, Lunit and Cloud Solutions will collaborate to enhance Lunit’s AI-powered solutions based on Cloud Solution’s cutting-edge cloud AI platform. The agreement will address pressing challenges such as physician shortages and medically underserved populations to aid the Kingdom’s national cancer screening program.

Furthermore, Lunit also plans to introduce Lunit INSIGHT DBT, an AI-powered 3D Breast Tomosynthesis analysis solution, to HMG later this year to continue improving breast cancer screening for patients in Saudi Arabia. The solution offers more precise diagnostics compared to traditional 2D breast imaging for earlier detection and improved treatment outcomes.

“Breast cancer represents the most common cancer in the Saudi Arabia population and we expect Lunit’s solution to bring significant innovation in healthcare services and improve patient outcomes with the early detection of breast cancer,” said Dr. Fatina Al Tahan, Senior Consultant at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group.

According to Data Bridge Market Research, the medical imaging market in the Middle East, which surpassed $20 billion in 2021, is projected to exceed $30 billion by 2029, with an expected CAGR of 5.5 percent from 2022 to 2029.

“This partnership holds tremendous potential for Lunit as the healthcare transformation in the Middle East is on the rise," said Lunit CEO Brandon Suh. "Our goal is to enhance cancer diagnosis and treatment outcomes by providing innovative AI-powered solutions to healthcare providers throughout the Middle East."
