Henry Schein is the world's top medical device distributor, generating $12.6 billion in revenue last year. Henry Schein controls more than 80 percent of the dental service organizations (DSOs) in the U.S., which represents more than 30 percent of the global dental diagnostics market.

Through the partnership, Vatech will distribute its full line of dental medical devices cleared for sale in the U.S., including Green CT, a low-dose and premium dental X-ray diagnostic device, and EzRay Air, a carbon nanotube technology (CNT)-based X-ray machine.

Vatech is the only Korean dental radiology company to have a distribution partnership with Henry Schein.

"With Vatech's wide range of dental imaging specialty devices and software, including dental CT and intraoral modalities, we are able to provide better imaging solutions for our dental practices," Henry Schein Dental Group Vice President Mackenzie Van Hala Richter said. "We are excited to provide solutions that will add accuracy to diagnosis and treatment planning."

Vatech America President Hwang Gyu-ho, also said, "The U.S. medical device market is more competitive than any other country in the world, and only companies that have strengths in all areas, such as trust in quality and strong distribution and service, can survive."

The partnership with Henry Schein will give the company the momentum to grow to the next level, Hwang added.
