Lotte Healthcare said on Wednesday that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with iMediSync, a digital mental health management platform company, to jointly develop healthcare models based on artificial intelligence (AI).

Founded in 2012, iMediSync specializes in the measurement of brainwaves and offers solutions through its AI-driven analysis cloud platform. The company aims to enable early monitoring and personalized care for mental health across diverse settings, including educational institutions, workplaces, medical facilities, telemedicine, and clinical drug research.

Under the agreement, both companies plan to jointly develop healthcare business models in areas such as wellness and senior care using AI technology, form a mid-to long-term cooperation structure including branding and joint marketing, and promote technology advancement as a strategic partner.

"In the future, we plan to provide brainwave measurement services for customers using the personalized healthcare platform, Cazzle,” said an official from Lotte Healthcare. "Based on the analysis results, we will present customized health guides, and we are also considering jointly developing business models that can be applied to the field of senior care."

Lotte Healthcare’s now-defunct nutrient dispenser, also named Cazzle, had been embroiled in a technology theft dispute with Algocare, a start-up. In June, however, the two companies agreed on a settlement after Lotte decided to scrap the nutrient dispenser business.
