Philips Korea plans to present its new ways to manage patients in the field of radiology

Amidst the challenges faced by today's medical sector, characterized by an increased workload for doctors and intricate medical systems, Philips plans to reduce the burden out of the conventional treatment model to proffer solutions. Visitors can explore AI-based imaging diagnostic systems and the latest workflow solutions designed to assist medical professionals in precise patient care.

In the MR segment, Philips will unveil its latest high-performance 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) product, the MR 7700, bolstered by a new gradient system.

Compared to previous models, the MR 7700 achieves a significant 35 percent improvement in scan speed and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), crucial for diagnosing cerebral vascular diseases.

The MR 7700 also incorporates a Multi Nuclei solution, allowing detection signals from multiple atoms, a feature not previously achievable.

Philips will also showcase two computed tomography (CT) equipments during the event. The Spectral CT 7500 provides both conventional CT imaging and spectral data containing human tissue composition information in a single scan, and the Incisive CT is equipped with AI technology throughout its entire workflow.

For ultrasound, Philips will presents its upgraded high-end ultrasound device, the EPIQ Elite VM10.0. The device features enhanced AutoSCAN capability for high-resolution imaging and a Flow Viewer for a 3D-like visualization of color flow imaging.

Additionally, attendees can expect to see other cutting-edge products like the aforementioned Azurion, IntelliSpace Portal 12, and Philips' PerformanceBridge for radiology operational management.

The company will host a luncheon symposium on Thursday, addressing the transition from Detector-based Spectral CT to Photon Counting CT..

Canon Medical Systems Korea is set to debut a host of innovative technologies, including the world's first AI deep learning system, Advanced intelligence Clear-IQ Engine (AiCE), and the high-resolution imaging deep learning technology, Precise Image Quality Engine (PIQE).

The Aquilion ONE PRISM Edition stands out as the world's only high-end CT equipped with a wide X-ray detector, capable of capturing a 160mm area in just 0.275 seconds. By leveraging Canon's pioneering AI tech, AiCE, and PIQE, this device delivers ultra-high-resolution images at a speed three to four times faster with a 20 percent lower radiation dose.

The company will also show off Canon's Vantage Galan 3T MRI.

Equipped with three deep learning technologies, it accentuates diagnostic efficacy and escalates image quality.

Notably, using the AiCE technolgoy, it amplifies the SNR by 3.2 times, ensuring ultra-high-quality imaging in a short span, while PIQE's application further enables the MRI to provide three times higher resolution images in a fraction of the time, benefiting both medical practitioners and patients..

Beyond CT and MRI, Canon Medical will also present its ultrasound diagnostic device Aplio i-series PRISM Edition, which is equipped with the world-first Liver Package and Super Micro-vascular Imaging (SMI).

The Liver Package incorporates three core abdominal imaging techniques, including attenuation imaging, shear wave dispersion, and shear wave elastography, offering a comprehensive toolset for diagnosing a range of liver conditions from chronic liver diseases to localized liver lesions.

SMI, a specialized Doppler technology, provides imaging for ultra-slow and microvascular blood flow, making it useful in diagnosing breast tumors and inflammatory diseases.

At the Luncheon Symposium on Friday, Sept. 22, Professor Nobuo Tomizawa from Juntendo University in Japan will discuss the unique imaging and clinical utility of the Aquilion ONE PRISM Edition.

“Canon Medical's focus on technology for people is guided by its business philosophy, Made for Life,” Canon Medical Systems Korea CEO Kim Young-joon said. “We develop and research technologies to provide the highest quality image data while ensuring the safety of patients and doctors.”

The company believes that its safe and reliable technology will enable highly qualified domestic doctors to ultimately provide patients with a better quality of life, Kim added.
