Osteonic, a Kosdaq-listed orthopedic medical device company, said Thursday that it has signed a contract with Beijing Kyungpook Medical Group to supply dental devices in China.
The scale and duration of the contract were not disclosed.
Osteonic's dental products under the contract are prosthetic devices made of titanium material for orthodontics, co-developed with Lee Ki-joon, Professor of the Orthodontic Department of Yonsei University.
Beijing Kyungpook Medical Group is a medical company that sells medical devices and operates medical research institutes, educational centers, and dental clinics.
In particular, the dental division of Beijing Kyungpook Medical Group provides medical devices to more than 40 general hospitals in China.
Beijing Kyungpook Medical Group’s dental clinic was established in 2019 and has been expanding its business in Beijing, being recognized for its strength in orthodontics.
Following this agreement, Beijing Kyungpook Medical Group aims to complete the Chinese license for Osteonic's dental devices by Dec. 2025.
"In addition to our sports medicine and trauma product lines, which continue to grow in sales every year, this agreement is significant to secure the foundation for mid-to-long-term growth of our dental product line with a major partner," Osteonic CEO Lee Dong-won said. "We will strive to create a momentum jump in performance through the joint growth of our existing and new product lines."
