Dong-A Pharmaceutical said Monday that it has launched Vetple, a premium pet brand.

Vetple provides healthcare for dogs and cats with customized pet nutrition products developed by Dong-A Pharm's veterinarians and pet experts.

The new products include three products for dogs (joint care, eye care, and stress care) and three products for cats (hairball care, urinary tract care, and stress care), providing “mindful pet health care” that takes care of their physical and mental health, Dong-A Pharm said.

Vetple products contain Immunoheal, a patent-pending ingredient developed to improve pet immunity, and L-theanine, which helps reduce stress. The functional ingredients in the product are carefully selected from premium ingredients worldwide.

The product package for dogs is blue, considering the visibility of dogs with red-green color weakness. The pulp case is made of 100 percent recycled newspaper, and the paper strip is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) to be recycled into pet toys.

Besides, to make it easier for pets to feed, the products are organized in a tritium form for dogs and a stick form for cats to enhance their palatability.

The six pet nutrition products are available on ":Dmall," the official mall of Dong-A Pharmaceutical, and Naver Smart Store. To commemorate the launch, NAVER Smart Store will offer up to 30 percent discount and premium healing pet towel items, the company said.

"Dong-A Pharmaceutical’s Vetple is a brand that takes care of not only the physical health of pets but also the mental health that pet lovers often miss," a company official said. "We hope to grow as a mental care brand in the domestic pet market with the slogan 'Vetple' that knows my child's mind well."
