According to the company, Dexcom G7 is a medical device diabetic patients use to manage blood glucose. It is 60 percent smaller than previous models because the sensor and transmitter are integrated.

The system warm-up time has also been significantly reduced to 30 minutes, and the accuracy, as measured by mean absolute relative deviation (MARD), has been improved, allowing for more accurate blood glucose checks. Continuous glucose monitors automatically send blood glucose readings to smart devices, including smartphones.

Dexcom 7 also has a customizable alert feature that sends a proactive warning alarm when there is a sudden change in blood glucose, helping patients proactively manage hypoglycemia. It automatically measures blood glucose levels during times when self-testing is not possible, such as during sleep and exercise, and shares real-time blood glucose levels with up to 10 people, including family members and caregivers.

It can also monitor blood glucose concentration and fluctuation trends and fluctuation range, enabling systematic blood glucose management.

Besides, the device can provide patients with various options and diabetes management solutions through customizable alert sounds, simplified applications, and single-serve packaging.

"With the launch of Dexcom G7, we have enhanced the convenience of diabetes management," a Huons official said. “We will continue to strive to help improve the quality of life of people with diabetes."
