Under the agreement, VUNO will supply its AI-based thoracic X-ray interpretation assistant solution, VUNOMED Chest X-ray, to DRGEM.

VUNOMED Chest X-ray stands out as an AI solution capable of detecting key abnormal findings in chest X-rays, such as nodules, consolidation, interstitial opacities, pleural effusion, and pneumothorax, with high accuracy.

It assists medical professionals by identifying and localizing findings, aiding in the diagnosis of critical lung diseases like tuberculosis and pneumonia.

As a result, DRGEM's entire lineup of X-ray equipment comes standard with VUNO's AI solution, with plans to distribute these enhanced systems in major domestic and international markets.

DRGEM has a dominant presence in the global diagnostic general X-ray market, and its position as the top producer by annual volume boasts an extensive product lineup optimized for medical field demands, including portable, fixed, ceiling-mounted, and handheld models.

With around 120 countries and 200 dealers worldwide, DRGEM's technology and quality have been recognized through its selection as an official long-term supplier for the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

The company has also recently increased its production capabilities with the completion of a new factory in Gimcheon last October, aiming to support its continued growth with an annual production capacity of 12,000 units.

The partnership aims to leverage DRGEM's global network to market the AI-equipped X-ray machines in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.

The inclusion of VUNO's solution is expected to attract new customers, including those with no prior experience with AI, by enabling the easy and simultaneous review of X-ray imaging and AI-analyzed results.

"This collaboration with DRGEM will allow us to strengthen our B2B business and bring VUNOMED Chest X-ray, with its proven clinical efficacy and product integration, to a wider audience both domestically and internationally," VUNO CEO Lee Ye-ha said. "The company plans to diversify its business strategy by product and continue to strengthen sales and marketing to increase its overseas performance."

DRGEM CEO Park Jung-Byung also said, "Over the past few months, we have been validating VUNO's AI solution with hospitals overseas."

Now that the company is able to offer a complete product lineup with AI across our entire X-ray equipment lineup, it will continue to aggressively pursue sales and earn the trust of its customers around the world, Park added.
