Galderma Korea said on Tuesday it has selected actress Seo Ji-hye as the first ambassador for Sculptra, an injectable collagen stimulator containing microparticles of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA-SCA) that helps gradually restore the skin's structural foundation.

Since her debut in 2005, Seo Ji-hye has been admired by the public for her elegance and sophisticated image. She has become an icon for contemporary women with her urban, timeless, and luxurious charm. Galderma Korea explained that Seo’s diverse appeal aligns perfectly with Scultra's brand values.

Sculptra is the only PLLA-based biostimulator approved by both the U.S. FDA and Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS). PLLA improves skin contour and promotes regeneration, effectively restoring healthy skin by stimulating collagen production in skin that has thinned due to aging.

Seo Ji-hye will serve as the new face of Sculptra, starting with a digital campaign in March, and will also be featured in the upcoming over-the-top streaming drama "Reverse" later this year.

"The natural and elegant beauty of actress Seo Ji-hye will create the perfect synergy with Sculptra," said Lee Jai-hyuck, general manager of Galderma Korea. "We will strive to create an environment where consumers can experience natural and healthy beauty."
