Daewoong Pharmaceutical is set to launch Korea’s first cuffless blood pressure monitoring system for hospital use this September, expanding its AI-driven vital sign platform, thynC, to include full-spectrum continuous monitoring.
The company on Friday announced the release of CART ON, a ring-type, wearable device that continuously tracks blood pressure without cuffs or external devices. The system integrates directly with thynC, which previously monitored pulse, respiration, body temperature, and oxygen saturation.
With the addition of CART ON, Daewoong said thynC becomes the “first platform in Korea” to provide continuous monitoring of all five key vital signs in a hospital setting.
The system is designed to detect patterns such as nocturnal hypertension, early-morning spikes, and non-dipping blood pressure -- conditions that are often missed using standard spot-check methods, according to Friday’s release.
CART ON, developed and supplied by Sky Labs, transmits data directly to electronic medical records, eliminating the need for manual charting and reducing patient disruption during rest.
Daewoong said the system improves workflow efficiency for clinicians while increasing comfort for patients. The device is designed for continuous use, including during sleep and daily activity, to support real-time, uninterrupted data collection.
The company plans to position thynC as a clinical decision-support tool by providing contextualized, real-time interpretation of physiological data.
