GE HealthCare Korea appoints Kim Yong-duk as new CEO

GE HealthCare Korea said it appointed Kim Yong-duk as its new CEO, effective from Monday.

Kim, who holds a degree in Biomedical Electronic Engineering from Yonsei University, has been with the company for nearly three decades after joining in 1996.

According to the company, Kim has completed various key leadership programs at GE and possesses extensive experience in global markets, including roles in engineering, service, marketing, product management, and partner business leadership. He has also served as the Product Leader for Emerging Asian Markets and General Manager of Korea's Imaging Division.

"GE HealthCare is a leading global healthcare company with over 125 years of history, dedicated to building healthcare systems for better outcomes through collaboration with diverse partners across the country," Kim said. "In Korea, where life expectancy is among the highest in OECD countries, there is a significant demand for disease prevention and early diagnosis to improve quality of life."

The company aims to meet this national demand and contribute to the development of the healthcare industry by working more closely with domestic hospitals and companies, leveraging its global leading technologies and services, Kim added.
