Wellysis said Tuesday that it has signed a contract with a U.S. electrocardiogram service provider to supply its ECG collection and analysis solution, “S-Patch,” to three U.S. states, including Texas.

Under the agreement, the Korean company will supply 1,000 units of S-Patch to the U.S. over the next two years, starting later this month.

For its global expansion, Wellysis obtained approval from the U.S. FDA in August last year and established a corporation in Houston, Texas, through the Johnson & Johnson Innovation Center.

In October, Wellysis signed a distributor agreement with Dozee, an Indian bedside monitoring solution provider, and held a product launch event in New Delhi for local hospital officials. The company plans to link and supply S-Patch to 50,000 beds owned by Dozee starting late this month.

"The U.S. accounts for more than 60 percent of the global ECG market and India has the largest growth potential. We plan to expand our global business based on partnerships," Wellysis CEO Juhn Young-hyup said. "We will prove the technology and expand its use by securing various use cases inside and outside the hospital, including remote and bedside monitoring."
