Philips Korea has selected Hanaro Medical Foundation, a specialized health screening institution, as its Digital Pathology Solution Standard Center.
The two organizations signed a cooperation agreement on Oct. 29 to jointly promote advancing digital pathology.
Under the partnership, Philips Korea will provide Hanaro Medical Foundation with digital pathology solutions to improve data management and enhance diagnostic accuracy.
The partnership aims to improve the accuracy of health screenings, strengthen specialized programs, advance medical research and education, enhance patient data management and accessibility, and establish connections with global networks.
Kim Han-Kyeom, director of Hanaro’s HiLab consignment division, added that the partnership with Philips Korea will also allow Hanaro to offer more reliable healthcare services.
Senior representatives from both organizations attended the designation ceremony, including leaders from Hanaro's pathology, information systems, and procurement teams, as well as product management and sales leaders from Philips Korea.
“Together, we will work to elevate the quality of health screenings through precise pathology diagnoses and continue to collaborate on pathology AI, big data research, and other areas to drive progress in Korea's health screening services,” a Philips Korea official said.
