In a bid to streamline beauty routines, Korean cosmetics company APR has unveiled a new cleansing tool that claims to remove makeup more than twice as effectively as traditional hand washing.
The device, marketed as the Booster Vibration Cleanser, is the latest addition to APR’s Medicube AGE-R beauty tech line.
According to a clinical study, a single three-minute session with the tool was shown to be approximately 133 percent more effective at removing makeup than washing by hand. APR declined to provide further details about the study’s design or results.
The new product pairs a vibrating silicone cleanser head with APR’s updated Mini Booster Pro Plus, a portable skincare device that delivers electrical stimulation to the face. Together, they aim to offer a full routine that covers deep cleansing, facial firming, and contour-enhancing care in one handheld system.
APR said in a statement Monday that the device is now available for pre-order through Medicube’s Korean website. While international customers can purchase it through the domestic site, a spokesperson clarified that such orders do not constitute an official overseas launch.
The company declined to disclose when the device would debut outside Korea.
The Booster Vibration Cleanser uses eight-layer silicone bristles and generates up to 39,000 micro-vibrations over a three-minute session. The top of the device contains electrical muscle stimulation electrodes, which contract small facial muscles beneath the skin to help reduce puffiness and improve elasticity. The effect is more noticeable when used with cleansing oil, according to APR.
The tool offers three cleansing modes tailored to different skin types and product formulations, and syncs with the Medicube AGE-R mobile app for personalized settings. It also includes a Smart 3D Vibration function to protect the skin barrier and is water-resistant for use in daily settings.
Alongside the launch, APR is introducing an upgraded version of its existing skincare device, now called the Mini Booster Pro Plus. The new model features a smart connector that allows it to pair directly with the vibration cleanser. After cleansing, users can detach the brush head and continue with base skincare using the EMS function.
“This new device combines APR’s years of beauty expertise and technology,” the company said in a statement. “We’ll continue to develop innovative products and services that address real skin concerns and evolving user habits.”
