Lunit will supply its AI-powered chest screening solution, Lunit INSIGHT CXR, to the Philippines.

The company will install its solution at Victoriano Luna Medical Center, a military hospital in Manila, and at a local public health center in General Tinio City.

This marks the first instance of introducing Lunit's AI solution to military hospitals and health centers overseas, and it was made possible through the "AI Convergence Medical Imaging Diagnostic System Project," led by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).

Lunit Insight CXR is software that utilizes AI-based technology to assist medical professionals by reading 10 chest diseases, such as lung nodules, lung hardening, and pneumothorax.

The company also plans to continue expanding the supply of products to overseas military hospitals, including the provision of portable X-ray equipment to military hospitals in Uzbekistan within the year.

The company has been actively supplying AI solutions to overseas military hospitals and dispatched Korean forces, including providing a portable X-ray equipment type AI solution to the Republic of Korea (ROK) Navy's Yang Man-chun destroyer, carrying the 41st rotation of the Cheonghae unit, deployed in the Gulf of Aden off the Arabian Peninsula.

"Lunit has successfully completed validation work for products specialized in military medical care in various environments, including the main hospitals of the ROK Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as division medical corps in Korea," Lunit CEO Suh Beom-suk said. "With the supply of products to the Philippine military hospital, we plan to expand our business domain to foreign military medical institutions."
