Korean medical equipment and cosmetics makers garnered export contracts of nearly $9 million in the first online sales promotion event, titled “Pre-Medical Korea 2020,” organized by the Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) from June 15-19.
The online consulting event was held in four Chinese cities -- Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen and Hong Kong -- to support the export activities of Korean firms experiencing difficult times due to Covid-19, the institute said.
KHIDI recruited 51 domestic companies and matched them with 35 Chinese buyers, jointly with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).
It plans to hold a similar event, “Medical Korea in China,” in the second half-year.
